Lose yourself in Bali’s northern wilderness as you search for the majestic Sekumpul Waterfalls. The name means ‘grouped together’ in Bahasa, referring to seven great cascades of up to 80 metres high nestled in the heart of a lush jungle.
Trek to the bottom of the falls, where you can wade in the rock pools. Along the way you will discover local flora and fauna such as cacao, lemongrass, and coffee.
You will cross rivers on wooden bridges, rice paddies, and hundreds of steps to hidden temples in the midst of the undergrowth.
Before lunch you’ll stop by the Twin Lakes of Buyan and Tamblingan, which form part of the island’s volcanic landscape.
Enjoy the cooler weather over buffet lunch at the famous Lake Beratan, 1,231 metres above sea level. The iconic Ulun Danu Temple sits on the edge of this mountain scenery – you can’t mistake these picturesque shrines by the water, commonly featured in postcards of Bali.
Your last stop will be another famous UNESCO Heritage Site, the Taman Ayun Water Temple.
